No Spending Week~Day 3

Rock
Therapy

Grandma Mary picked up Franny today. She is going to spend time with her cousins and sleep over. Yep, you guessed it. My first thought was 3 less meals to feed her. Mathias is on the bike trek with Mr. Brian for the afternoon. This is a very nice bonus of working at a daycare! I am spending my afternoon in day 3 of what I named Rock Therapy. Moving rock to the back of my deck. One bucket at a time. I am getting a tan, exercise and best of all it is FREE. The exercise is helping my attitude because I am kinda a crabby.

I am trying not to over analyze this no spending week. But,I thought this week was going to be a breeze, No problem not spending money for a week. I go for weeks with out spending a dime. I was thinking on Monday. One of my favorite works is frugal. I can totally do this!

Some people shop for clothes, shoes, purses, make up. Ms. Beth shops for grocery's. I love going to the grocery store to get one small thing I need that day. Like, an apple or candy, avocado, a tomato. Some grapes and a bottle of water. Ice cream and Ginger ale. Going to the Co-op for yeast ,baked goods and tofu makes me smile! I love going to Aldi, you can always use some turkey bacon!

If I wasn't blogging about this would I be driving to the Co-op today? Back to Rock Therapy for me!

No Spending Week~Day 2

Strike Outs and Bowling

Mathias pitched the last 2 innings of the game last night. He did very good. His team came back to win in the last inning. Very Exciting night

I worked today from 7am-1pm. Its always nice to get back to PCLC. I have the best co-workers and I was missing the kids. We went took a bus to the bowling ally. I helped Starla (best name ever). I think the bowling ball weighed more then she does. It was a fun morning. We had greasy pizza for lunch. One of the perks of working at a daycare:)

Franny and Mathias made there own lunch (don't ask don't tell) We went to the Library to get more free movies.

Tonight Turkey Burgers and Tator Tots and Swimming.

I can tell I am tired and hungry because I started worrying if we have enough food for the week.

I know we have dinner tonight and I need to make it.

Thats all I got for today.....

Wednesday $0.00

No Spending Week~Day 1

Sticks
and Stones

I spent the morning moving rock around my back yard. When I woke up this morning I no clue this is what I would be doing today! The rock has been on the side of my house for about 5 years. I kept hoping it would disappear. I moved it around the blue pool and the back of my deck. It looks better. The price was right. I also picked up a million sticks( who knew!) I decided to spare you pictures, It was not exciting.

I let the kids sleep in until 11am. I never let them sleep this late. But, I figured it was one less meal to feed them. I reheated left over pancake for “Brunch”.

The kids went swimming and swinging.

We hung out on the deck. Its been a good relaxing day.

Tonight ~Tacos for dinner and the kids have ball games for exercise and excitement.

I really hope my back doesn't go out!

Tuesday $0.00

No Spending Week~Prep

Money is getting tight around my house. I have been enjoying alot of time off from work.

I have had the idea of a NO spend week since March. I have been waiting for the perfect week. I realized there is never going to be a perfect week. This is Life!

Rhonda Jean at Down to Earth

http://www.down---to---earth.blogspot.com/

gave me the inspiration I need with this lovely thought

“If you've never spent a week, or any time, when you decided not to spend anything, it might be quite confronting, and if you're tempted to spend, think about your purpose and the life you want to live. Rewards are waiting as long as you can stick with this. If you continue to spend, you're just staying on the same old merry-go-round

you've always been on."

I am going to have No spend week July 7- 14. I am going to Journal about it daily on C.C. about the the experience.

Just need to get the Family on board.

Husband said.” Sounds wonderful”

Franny didnt seem concerned.

Mathias asked about his friends B-day party present.

Monday July 6~ Rhonda must have a very simple life because all she to buy to prepare for the week was 2 gallons of milk! I went to Aldi, The Dollar Store, and Cub.

I think I am set.

I have meals planned . Returned the Red Box Movie. Cars are full of gas. Enough laundry soap and toilet paper for the week. On my side is we put up our blue pool and a rope swing in the back yard this weekend.

The exceptions.*Hubby and I are going to use a Chipolte gift card Saturday night for our date night. *I have to buy a $10.00 B-day present .

*The kids have spending money to use IF they choose. Mathias $5.00, Franny $9.00

I am hoping they will get the point and save it!

Wish us Luck!!!

The kids love these blocks. Towers and Sculptors.
Many spent alot of time perfecting marble tracks.

Very smart!

C.C.S.C.

Creative Care Summer Camp = C.C.S.C.

This is an idea from the Bev Bos Seminar Ms. Sandy and I went to.

COVE MOLDING (used in the home building industry) is perfect for use as ramps, pathways or marble runs. We also provide cardboard boxes with square slots cut out that the children use for constructing their tracks. Once they are satisfied with their construction, the kids send marbles down the ramps.
The C.C.S.Campers got right to work building their marble runs. It was great to see them working together and interesting how they teamed up. This was a big success at the first Creative Care Summer Camp. We will be using COVE MOLDING through the summer and next school year!

We also made Camp Necklaces.
I didn't take pictures of the kids making necklaces because these two boys had my camera!

at least they are being creative!!:)

the Cabin

I am pretending we have a cabin for the summer.
We reserved the camper cabin at Jay Cooke State Park
4 times this summer. We went the first time last week.
We had a great time. Great Family togetherness.
Doesn't my 14 year old daughter Franny look happy?
It was really fun!
